I may be remembering wrong but it seems to me that the last change Phil made seems to have pretty much consigned us non-broadband types to obsolescence - I can’t wait for that long for a screen to load.

Oh, you Philistines quit picking on Phil and just enjoy his whistles. Don’t forget, the guy gives away free CDs, and his newsletter is very informative about musical groups, and he has interviews and all! So maybe the board isn’t what you thought, but hey, cut him some slack! He’s a nice guy! (and makes a dynamite low whistle, too!)

oh come on guys…really…this is a fella that loves what he’s doing, i think it’s cool there’s another whistle-site, there’ s nothing wrong with that. And you can’t expect a wealth of info, the board is brand new! Well, I for one will pop in there and check things out.

I wasn’t being sarcastic about phil hardy, I was being sarcastic about this post that’s all like “aet’s inCREDEEBLE! ” and then there’s like 5 posts on this positively average UBB-style message board with a dozen members.

Jim, are you complaining about his appearance or the marketing strategy by use of media files to represent the products?
Phil and I made an agreement, in good faith, some time ago that I would stop being so antagonistic about him, unless he did something that really deserved it.
That said, my post was not meant to be antagonistic against Phil, but rather the absurdity of the original post. Read other message boards and you will find that any similar post will be mercilessly, and I really mean mercilessly mocked… it’s usually quite humorous really.
Despite my differences with Phil he and I have decided to leave eachother alone. That said, this first post, and the fact that it was posted twice, is just absurd. It is a rediculous advertisement posted by someone who appears to be the moderator of the board. I can’t imagine any other response but some healthy “taking the piss”.
