Dale’s thread with the word “Barley” has gotten me singing this song.
I learned it on whistle a long time ago. I remember learning it from a CD, but I can’t remember if it was Bill Och’s CD or an Elfsong CD or another CD entirely.
Does anybody know it?
I really like it.
(And is it just me, or is it a little bit “dirty?”)
I think that it was recorded by Deanta’s “Ready for the Storm” CD.
Is it the one that has a maid with a bunch of barley bound for market, and this young guy wants to buy it so she won’t go all the way to market, and he can chat her up…
Good album. Good song. Yeah, a little clandestine.
I think that Deirdre Havlin is a great flute/whistle player.
Cheers, Mike
