I improved…I really honestly did…after getting my first non-inexpensive whistle. I enjoyed playing 100% more, I practiced more, I didn’t fear the high notes or have to baby the low ones.
Since getting into the high end, and I’m not saying it takes $300 whistles to be ‘high end’, I have improved even on the inexpensive ones.
Urm, I think I have kindof the same problem. Each time I browse through the online music stores I get this well.. feeling I Have to buy another whistle just to play better with it.
And well then um… when it arives I can play the same tunes.. again.. on another (maybe better) whistle sigh.

I have experienced the same phenomenon, Tyghress, but the fact remains that many of the great whistle players improved their playing when only Clarkes and Generations were available.
