Has anyone played one of the harmonic minor bamboo flutes from tallgrass winds? I’m wondering how they sound. The D flute plays the scale D,E,F,G,A,Bfl,C# right? Can you cross finger to get B and C?

I own a bamboo flute from Erik the Flutemaker that pitched to G# minor (he thought it G minor, but it’s not)
The first octave and a half is fine. After that, ouch.
Still, it’s a blast to play.

David, G#m? I bet you are a hit at sessions with that… 
believe it or not, we had a singer whose natural pitch was in that key for any minor songs. Go figure. He’s moved away now, but it was very interesting.
otherwise, that flute rarely comes out…
but I will have a set of tunes on the “upcoming” CD project using this flute. You’ll like them. (I hope, anyway!)
