SWAUP Tionol

Greetings All,

Its been a while since I last posted here…but I’m still alive and still playing the pipes :slight_smile:

Anyway, I hope nobody minds if I give a quick plug to the upcoming tionol of the South Western Association of Uilleann Pipers (SWAUP). We have been lucky enough to secure the (highly talented) services of Brian McNamara as our guest piper and tutor this year and I’m certain that a great time will be had by all attending.

The venue is slightly different this year…we are meeting in Bude, Cornwall at the well appointed Maer Lodge Hotel.

Dates for our tionol are : 5-7 November 2004.

Price is: £140 for the full weekend.

All pipers from near and far are welcome and membership of SWAUP is not necessary.

For those who may be new, or have forgotten about Steve, he’s one of the better pipers around (that you seldom hear of). Here he is with his Froment set. If I remember right, this photo was trying to capture the moods of the past. Nice to hear from you, Steve!
