Sumptin' wants to get me!!!!

Be very careful out there. I have deleted nearly 100 undeliverable emails with attachments this morning. Someone out there with my email (not here, a different email address) apparently has one of these vial worms that is going around.

This is REALLY a pain.

One must always!

I average about 300 spams per day, much of it that kind of thing, along with a variety of edifying and uplifting materials.

For a long time, my e-mail sig said:

Write your Representatives, support capital punishment for spammers!!!

I think we should suspend the cruel and unusual punishment language in the Bill of Rights for spammers and white collar criminals.

Imagine: Ken Lay and all his Enron buddies getting 200 lashes in front of a warmly applauding audience well supplied with booze and rotten fruit.

Or spammers being drawn and quartered at an auto da fe

Let’s not forget Snail Mailers that send all that junk mail there too. At least spammers are only wasting time and electricity. Paper junkmailers are wasting many more resources than that.

By the way of an update, instead of one ‘undeliverable’ a minute, I am only getting one an hour right now.

I got a funny e-mail today while working:

Dear user, the management of Larkwoodworks.com mailing system wants to let you know that,

Your e-mail account will be disabled because of improper using in next
three days, if you are still wishing to use it, please, resign your
account information.

For details see the attach.

Have a good day,
The Larkwoodworks.com team > http://www.larkwoodworks.com

Now this struck me as rather odd, as I am the management of lark woodworks.com mailing system, and the user, and the CEO for that matter. Nevertheless I did an audit of my past e-mail history and found correspondence about making cases for recorders! After much deliberation, the CEO (me), told the e-mail administrator (me too) no longer to target user (also me) accounts for the word recorder, as there is a viable and valid market for such things, but made a concession and said I didn’t have to smile while making them :imp: .

Just kidding, it was an email that had a virus as an attachment, that thankfully was filtered out by my e-mail server provider. However I thought it was quite funny.

We get these vis-a-vis eBay, Old navy, Amazon and other online retailers with whom we have accounts. Oddly, we never get them for firms we haven’t dealt with before. I don’t believe that such e-businesses sell their mail lists, but you DO have to wonder where the slimy little buttheads get them.

Those would be great venues for whistle and flute buskers!
