Still looking for a place in Boston

I’m headed back to Boston to start my new job (on Monday) but I’m still looking for a place to rent (on a limited budget) - either long term, or short term (a couple of weeks while I continue the hunt) will do.

If anyone out there knows or hears of anything, I’d be grateful for a heads up :slight_smile: I’ll be working in Brookline but anything within an hour or so drive (or on public trans) could be doable.

P.S. I do have a well behaved older dog and can provide references to state that he is non-destructive.

I don’t know of anything personally, Loren, but you aren’t going to find anything within reach of Brookline for much less than $600.

Yeah, I’ve been searching for a while, so I have a pretty firm grip on the prices - typically around $600 a month minimum to share a place with several other folks. There are a surprising number of pet friendly opportunities, however what’s killing me is the large “up front” that most are asking: 1st month, last month, and often a deposit as well - $1500 or so up front is a bit more than I can swing right now :astonished:
