My new Tully is a beautiful thing.
It’s quiet and sweet just the way I like.
Ask me some time how many hoovers it took to let this acquisition happen.
Thanks Erik!

Okay then, I will.
“How many Hoovers did it take to let this aquisition happen?”
the odds were 3 to 1, and I won!
Two low D’s and a brass trad for as beautiful a whistle as I have seen.
You’re welcome, Mack ![]()
I’m glad that you’re happy with it. I hope that this doesn’t sound like the mutual back-patting advertisement society, but I’m enjoying your whistles as well - particularly the brass high D. Very nicely made and fun to play (my wife doesn’t yell at me when I go above A - well, she never yells, but I get “the Face” - you married folks know what I mean. ![]()
Peace and thank you for the kind words,
Erik
I had commented in prior string on how beautiful the Tully is, but I hadn’spent much time with it. Last night I played it all night and it’s wonderful as well as beautiful. Nice somewhat unique sound, a bit reedy or chiffy, stronger in lower octave, not as much volume as some others, but nice transitions, comfortable and easy to play.
All i can say is…I have a beautiful C Tully and a very special Hoover brass D that I wouldn’t trade for anything…beautiful pure tone on both…
Gm
Remember Grannymouse, part of that beautiful pure tone is you.
Gosh, Philo, that’s the nicest thing anybody has said to me…ever. I’m blushing.
