I’ve recently fell back into Irish traditional music after a really long break and I am seriously hoping to find others in the area. I know there is a small session in Jacksonville, FL but I’m hoping to find folks that are a little closer. I play flute and whistle and guitar.

Flute, whistle, and guitar are such a great combo for sessions. If you already know about the Jacksonville one, maybe check if anyone from there knows of smaller groups closer to you — a lot of sessions tend to be word-of-mouth. You could also try posting in local FB groups or even check with Irish pubs nearby, sometimes they host informal sessions or know of musicians who meet up.
