These guys are going to play Saturday at the Flying Saucer at Little Rock, AR, at 7:30 pm.

There will be a session with the guys afterwards…I’ll post here and let you know how it goes.

Have fun!

Hmm, their name sounds more like a law firm than a music group.

Sounds like a good time, enjoy!

All the Best, Tom

They packed the Flying Saucer in Little Rock…it was standing room only.

It was a good show. Michael Cooney knows his way around the pipes and also played whistles. Ged Foley played some good fiddle as well as guitar, as well as singing a couple of songs. Paul Smyth played flute and whistle, and there was a wonderful whistle duet between Paul and Michael, knocking out some fine reels.

For the whistle-curious, it looked like Paul was playing a plain-old Feadog, and Michael an Oak. They made them sound great–I was again reminded that a big part of how good a whistle sounds rests in the player. But the low D Michael played looked pretty high-end, looked to be either an Overton or possibly a Chieftain.

After the show they sessioned with about ten or so of the local musicians, including some of the best we have. They were personable fellas, and we played tunes with them till the Saucer closed at 1:00.

It was a fun evening and a good show!
