Wow, the D/E flat set sold for $160! Some people have no patience. I’ve figured out how I’m getting a cocus Olwell. I’ll order 20 D/E flat sets from John, then call Patrick and place the order. When the Sindts arrive, I start selling them on e-bay. As the money rolls in, I put it in 2 piles - one for Patrick and one for John. By the time my sales are complete, my flute will be ready!

You should have been around in the old days, you wouldn’t believe what Copelands used to sell for on ebay. I shudder to think what O’Riordans will bring when Pat is no longer with us.
Now, you want expensive? If you ever see a keyed Olwell D flute up for sale on ebay you can bet it’ll bring 4 grand. Heck, a flute like the one Pat made me that would easily go for at least over two thousand used - someone on the flute list sold a “Plain” Blackwood Olwell for $1800 used.
Makes those Sindts seem kinda thrifty, don’t it?

Back in the “good old days” I sold 2 Copeland high Ds on E-bay for $500 each (they cost $180 back then) and a low D Copeland for something like $700. Those were indeed the days!!
