Just out of curiousity, where can I find the serial no.s of contemporary made Irish flutes? I have an Olwell and a Murray but I can’t find the serial no.s on both. Thanks!
I have a hand-written receipt from Patrick Olwell with my flute’s serial number on it ~ I have not found it on the flute itself.

Just take off the crown cap, for the Olwell.

Yeah, like Lesl said. Pat puts it on the rim at the top of the headjoint.

Dave Copely also puts his under the end cap but you have to look closely as it is quite fine.

I’m guessing the SH stands for Samuel Hamilton? I’ve got SH404… my new lucky number I think.
