Over the past 2 years I’ve been building up a set of border pipes (in A, with 3 drones), but I am hesitant to start drilling the chanter holes without having a reed to work with.
So now I am searching for a source of reeds for both the chanter and the drones.
I am in Ontario, Canada.
Any ideas? 
I am not a maker, but if you are building your set based on a particular maker, you might want to start with a reed from that maker. Otherwise, you could use Colin Ross’ reedmaking book, or More Power To Your Elbow, which has a reedmaking section, to make a reed for your pipes. I have also heard that some folks will modify a GHB reed to work in borderpipes. Good luck.
