I have just been watching part of the NPU regulator tutorial DVD and wondered if anyone can tell me the maker of his pipes?
Also there appears to be a lever of some sort coming from behind the tenor reg. towards his body (just visible on the middle lower picture on the cover at http://www.bagpipediscs.travelingpiper.com/images/upipe4.jpg ). What is it?

Aren’t they made by Cillian O’Briain?
I’m not sure about the lever. It might be a pin for tuning/adjusting the tenor drone but it looks a little long and thin for that.

It’s a Cillian O’Brien set, but I’m not sure about the hidden switch you refer to.

The “lever” could be a small handle fixed to the sliding part of the tenor drone, so it can be tuned without reaching underneath the regulators. I’ve occasionally seen this on other sets.

I have one on my set but it’s shorter and more solid looking that what we see in the photo.

Its fixed to the small drone to make tuning easier. The Tenor can be quite tightly packed in on some sets of pipes making tuning it awkward
