Are there any recordings of Seamus Ennis’ father. I understand that Seamus considered himself to owe a great debt to his father.
The only recordings in existence are the two sides recorded by the Fingal trio of which James Ennis[pipes], Frank O Higgins [fddle] and James McCauwley were the members.
Seamus certainly had some of his father regulator playing.
James Ennis played a lot on 2RN during the early days but these broadcasts apparently went live on air and no recordings survive.
