Paul asked if anyone had a High G Thin Weasel, so I thought I’d share it with you all.
It’s actually my latest whistle purchase, and it’s still in the break-in period. I play it a little each day and oil it as necessary. It’s turning out to be a real little charmer - I look forward to playing it every day. It’s really easy to play even though all my fingers get crowded on the holes that are so close together. This isn’t a formal review except to say it’s already one of my favorite whistles for playability and plain old fun. There’s a sound file and pics so you can review it yourself.

Interesting. The fittings are different than on most of Mr. Schultz’s instruments. I wonder if this is because the whistle is small, or if he started using different fittings at some point…
Glenn could not find brass tubing in the right size for tuning slides for the high G whistles, so he MADE it himself from stainless steel. It’s amazingly thin, yet still strong. Glenn once boasted to me that he could do anything on a lathe. I believed him then and I believe him now.
Well, y’all got me wonderin’ – how is the sound? Do wither of y’all have a Gen high-G to compare it to? Also in terms of finger spacing. My fingers touch when playing the Gen, and if it’s even a tiny bit closer I wouldn’t be able to play it.
