Sorry…semi OT… Did you go to the Lismore or there a secret Thursday Irish session in Glasgow that I don’t know about?

Not that I am aware of…but then it wouldnae be much of a secret session if we knew aboot it Twas a reference to taking Daveys Orchestra to any old session in Glaschu,kinda flippancy throwawa…sorry.
Havnae been to the Lismore fer years so no idea whit it is like these days,it used to be one of the cliquey type o sessions,very unfriendly but as I say that was a long time ago and hopefully they have got to like each other or have moved on.
I think they’ve been playing the same sets of tunes in the same order for about fifteen years and when I was going for an empty chair, one of the regulars said, “You can’t sit there. That’s X’s chair but he doesn’t show up till 11.” In all fairness though, they were pretty friendly. They were chatting away to us and asked D and I to start a good few sets. One of them knew me from the nonsense I write on thesession.org. LOL.
I suppose that chair belonged to Big Sammy?
