We’ve got one or two left still, Beans and Brews and Bad Ass Coffee Co., neither of which, unfortunately, are anywhere near my place of employment. It’s either Starbucks or McDonalds…or do without…and you’ve seen what happens when I go without.
Ummm, like, duh! besides, Mac and Don’s coffee can give one really painful gas jets!
Have they started the McCafe thing there? 'Round here, they’ve been
building separate rooms on the McDonalds from which to sell specialty
coffee and muffins and panini sandwiches and that kind of crap. The
fancy coffee drinks (lattes, frapppppeee’s, etc.) are pretty cheap,
compared to most coffee shops. I’m not sure if it’s been spreading,
or if we’re just a test market. McDonalds is also opening “Chipotle”
burrito resteraunts all over the place. I think they’re desparately trying
to diversify.
Oh, and Yay Mars!
Not yet, that I know of…If they were, there are few Mickey D’s open when I leave for work anyways.
On the reality side of things, my usual solution is to buy a bag from my local specialty shop and make it at work and share the pot with whoever’s willing to go in on the next bag with me.
