Pretty fun times.

Looks very well attended and a good time. Its great that you were able to get in so close with the Chieftains. I would have hit Paddy Moloney up for a piping lesson.

Marvelous pictures; reminds me when the Chieftains hit L.A in 1975- there was a great after party at a bar named Molly Malone’s in the Fairfax district. Great tunes

Paddy and I did manage to spend just under an hour in his hotel room talking pipes and playing each other’s chanters. It wasn’t so much a lesson, but for anyone who’s met Paddy, he’s such a talker - you could ask him to explain a particular ornament like say a cut, and he’d tell you…for about thirty minutes!

This is too funny Fel…

I used to play at Molly’s every week for years with a band that ended up being called Flogging Molly because we played there so long and so often

PD.

I was hanging out late at the Irish Fair Minnesota this year and was thinking about taking the safety off the large calibre handgun illegally concealed in my pipe bag during the session at the pub tent, when I realized the distressingly thuggish looking crowd gathering was only there to hear Flogging Molly, who was up next on the main stage.
