The 8th annual Mississippi River Celtic Music festival will be held in Saint Louis on April 8, 9, and 10th. Brian McCoy of the band The Kells will be teaching whistle along with Brian Kelso Crow. Thanks for giving me advance warning. Last year I didn’t hear about it until afterwards on the news. (That actually happens to me a lot.)
So, I guess I’ll be playing outside of my own neighborhood for the first time because I just signed up for a workshop. It sounded like a great opportunity for improvement and it looks like a lot of fun.
For those that have gone before, do you have any advice for a new attendee, such as, what, besides the D whistle required for the workshop, do I need to bring? What kind of dress-code is the concert?
This is not a high fashion event. Bring your whistle, a tape recorder and a notebook. Mike
