Safe Nickel-Silver Polish

Could someone direct me to the discussion on safe metal polishes? Ive got Nickel-Silver and Ebony and dont want to hurt the wood. I tried searching for an old string on the topic but failed.
Thanks

Let me first direct you to the Search function at the top of the page. It takes you to a Search page where you can do a Google search on the whole world, or the second part, under Search Query, allows you to search these forums. Input a query using the word “and” to use multiple search strings, e.g.

metal and polish

and select the Uilleann Pipes Forum to search in.

Here’s a couple of threads that came up. This took me all of 5 seconds:

FLITZ.

For my aluminum, brass and silver plated whistles I used a product called “Blue Magic” which can be found in the automotive department at Wal-mart or automatic stores. It is non-toxic and easy to apply and remove from the metals surface. The best thing about this product is its price ($3 for 8oz.) and it doesn’t leave an odor or a film on the metal.

Best of Luck

Do NOT use any product that smells of ammonia (Brasso etc.)

Hi Ted! I quoted you (accurately or inaccurately?) in the “Oils to Avoid” posting, I’m sure you can add to it! Thanks! Sean Folsom

Thanks for the help, sorry if I bothered anyone.
Best,
