In his thread on Circular breathing, (fantastic playing by the way) Hatao mentioned he plays S.Z.B.E whitles and provided the link below. Has anyone else had any experience with these? The sound clips are excellent and they appear well made. I’m always looking for another WhOA fix!!!

Thanks to both of you! I think it looks a lot like Silkstone also and I happen to have an Alloy D, but I’m not wild about the sound. It has a bit of a buzz that I don’t like, but it is a beautiful well made whistle.
The clips of the wood and brass have less of that metalic buzz in them!
I own a brass SZBE D and it’s one of my favorite D’s. The tone is rich and slightly reedy…close to a traditional sound without the wispy chiff(I attribute that to the heavy-walled brass). It’s tone is also more focused…less rounded. It’s highly responsive to ornamentation and has a decent volume. I would consider it a solid whistle for the price and worth picking up…especially if you plan to play with other musicians where a different tone might work better.
Whenever I play with a guitarist I find that it works really well…the volume and tone seem just right to me.
