Looks lovely.
I’m not sure, could be wrong, but I think this is the Rudall that was up for sale on Done Deal Ireland a few weeks ago. Looks the same with the cork, same box, and no serial number, it was overhauled by Hammy?
Ask Migoya hes the seller, no?
No. Not very!
And yes, this one’s from DM and this one’s from Dave Ogden.
And each of those gentlemen also has a Pratten for sale - DM’s and DO’s.
I was wrong, Jim Leonard’s Rudall on Done Deal Ireland, & David Migoya’s Rudall on E-bay are not the same flute. Thank’s Jem. There are two Monzani flutes up for bids tomorrow at H&G though. The tuning on David’s Pratten seems a mite wonky in the sound samples
the tuning is very good on the Hudson.
a well-known maker is currently measuring and playing it and gives it thumbs up.
you’re welcome to come play it yourself.
Unless of course you mean the other Pratten for sale. There are two david’s.
i would never attest to an instrument’s tuning via video or sound recording.
if you ever heard flatley play, his tuning is woeful most times … but that’s his natural lip, not the flute. Even so, based on his recording alone, you’d avoid the flute.
And the Rudall/Rose/Carte w/o serial number that’s up there is indeed really nice.
Strange, too, with the four-petal mark and RRC at that address. yet another Rudall riddle.
I fear you greatly underestimate the number of davids…

I wonder what happened to the Rudall stamps? Does Mr. Bigio have them? (I shall have to buy the book). Also how did the 1860 fire start that destroyed the records? I suppose the earlier stamps survived the fire. I think the Rudall I have has silver keys, but how to tell. It does have double springs, and inlaid cork dots to protect the wood from the key rivets
These are the Daves I know…
