There’s been quite a lot of discussion on the U-LIST, in the last couple days, about Leo’s rythmic reg playing on this clip. Rumor has it Seamus Ennis once remarked that Rowsome was the best flute player he’d ever heard playing the pipes (referring to his open-style on the chanter).
But then, rumor has it that Ennis’s humorous bantering goes back to an earlier generation when a Rowsome beat an Ennis at a piping competition. Pipers would never think of saying such things about a fellow piper nowdays, right?

It’s not as much a un-released, as not re-released 78 rpm.
I don’t know about those regs, but love the sound of that chanter! I suppose it’s a Rowsome.
