did those of you who have built synthetic bags glue reinforcement patches on the inside to strengthen the blowpipe and mainstock areas? i plan to glue one up tomorrow and need to make a decision on this.
the only negative i can see would be that the extra thickness might make tying in a little more difficult.
The bag I made is vinyl for a practice set. Although it was the first time for me tying in the blowpipe stock I’ve had no problems with it in terms of leaks. Sorry I can’t say if reinforcement would help or hinder the situation.
Perhaps you could use a smaller square of material as a test to see if backing helps or not. At least this would save you some material.
