Does anybody have a few good suggestions where I may be able to locate reed dimensions for flat pitched chanters, regs and drones? I’d appreciate any information you would be able to toss my way. Thank you.
I may be way off base here, but I believe that reed dimensions for flat sets are even more particular to each set and maker than D sets. If you’re making your own set, you may have start with a set of plans that includes the reed dimensions, or start experimenting.

The information you are after is all on Alan Moller’s reedmaking video, available from N.P.U. Good luck with them!
Yes an excellent resource for the descerning reed maker (or destroyer ) ![]()
I’ve had this video for some time, and I agree it is a good resource. However, I only recall measurements being given for D sets, not for flat sets, on the video. I’ll have to watch it again.

Seth Gallagher lists details for his C chanter reeds:

There’s a mether of information in Dave Hegarty’s - “Reedmaker’s Guide”. It is available for FREE to members on the NPU website www.pipers.ie
Also, Pat Sky’s - “Reedmaking Booklet” is available to anyone for free at http://www.patricksky.com/

Allan Moller video. I’m sure he gives dimentions for ALL reeds (Uilleann of course)
I have the Allan Moller video also.
He does list all chanter reeds dimensions including E flat which comes on the video after he ties on the head and before making/fitting a looped Bridle for the D reed.
This is Allan’s website http://www.allanmoller.f9.co.uk/

Thanks for the feedback, it will certainly come in handy. Say, can anyone tell me what the membership fee for NPU converted to US currency would be?
$38 if I recall correctly

Someone else mentioned that many insights are available through the writings and experience that people have making other double reeds (like oboe and bassoon). Here are two (and there are many more out there):
