I think that Alex’s post has been slightly misinterpreted, anyway from my point of view. These are not the words of someone who really wants advice from top players, these are words of someone who is simply jealous of the attention and even affection that people like Loren or Chris etc are getting. I don’t personally care if the persons giving me advice are pros, I only have to know that they are better than me and that I can learn from them… and after seeing Chris play the flute this summer, well, I think I’m good for a few thousands of advices hehe…
The only negative thing I see about people in this forum is that as soon as you say something provocative, most people will get hurt and will take the post as a personnal attack. It’s as if people didnt have enough confidence in themselves and won’t stand that we criticize them.
As for me, well, making (I think) good progress on the flute based on good advices from ErikT, Loren, Chris & others… What’s new here?

PS: Good progress means that you can now distinguish an airplane’s running engine from my flute playing…
