RE: Free fitting a reed to your chanter booklet

I posted on my web site, a a few months back, a FREE booklet explaining in detail, how to fit a reed to your chanter. It is in both MSWord and PDF formats. Down load it and have fun torturing yourself:

Thank you Patrick

Just had a quick glance at the booklet and it’s great. I’m going to read it thoroughly this evening.

Well done.

Thanks for the freeby Pat.
A nice bit o’ reading and information.
Joseph (the UK one)

It’s brilliant and comprehensive and I’ve been using it.

thanks!

I’ve read your free booklet, and it really helped to demystify uilleann reeds and tuning. Also, I’ve been working thru your book that I bought from you at the St. Louis Tionol and have really gained alot of insight there. It has alot of good advice about technique–especially tight triplets–and fills in some of the omissions of the Clarke tutor.

I haven’t gotten around to making a chanter reed of my own yet, but I feel like the chapter on reedmaking will be a great start.

Thanks again!
