I remember hearing in the last year of high school, “You’re bound to meet some wierd people in university.” Then I got here and realised the people they were warning us about were me and my friends. Wierdness seems to be embraced here, so it’s all good.

In Irish, the same word (ait) is used for “pleasant” as for “odd” and just depends on context and facial expression.
