A nice looking 8 key Prowse sold for 300 pounds at this auction in January. Missing the crown but otherwise looks in fine condition

A nice buy. These are often have qualities very like Rudall’s.
There is a silver ring missing from where the head meets the barrel by the looks of it.

Here’s Brendan O’Hare on his Thomas Prowse

and here he is too… (from 1.58) www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fX822yhppM

:stuck_out_tongue:

so, whats the difference between tomas and keith prowse?
flute looks exactly like my keith or I must need new glasses…are there different C foot keys???

Thomas Prowse was a differnet maker then Keith Prowse, which was a partnership with R.W. Keith and W. Prowse…

I bought it.

Can’t tell you much more about it at the minute, had two springs broken and have left it in to have them repaired. Looked like a nice flute though, in good condition.

Looks like a great deal!

A nice buy…

This is a very strong one I had through the workshop a little while ago, better than a lot of Rudalls I’ve played; http://youtu.be/pi6u_dPjiKQ
