the rubber tube from my o’briain bellows has shorn itself off - is there anybody in the uk who could do a quick and hopefully not too expensive repair for me

You can either get a length of rubber tubing of the appropriate diameter and length and fix it yourself, or get one of these from NPU: http://store.pipers.ie/store/product/8092/Rubber-Bellows-Connector------/
Alternatively, any pipemaker should be able to do this repair job, just find out who is nearest to where you live.
