The best piper to ever come out of Chico California - sorry, Don - has a solo CD or download available from the CD Baby Music Store. Solo pipes in D, occasionally with the bass drone slider removed to give GDd for a nice change of tuning - hafta ask him how to tune that - probably you could shove a rush up the bore to flatten it into tune - also the odd track with him playing the whistle, or friends chiming in with fiddle/piano/feet. Preston’s a heckuva musician all around, recommended! The pipes sound dynamite here, too.
I just listened to it last week. Great stuff.
Very captivating playing.
Everything I wanted to hear on a nice (mostly solo) recording.
In particular the lovely whistle tracks.
All the best,
Patrick
whose pipes is he playing here?

that’s a boxwood chanter isn’t it?
I’m guessing it’s his Brad Angus boxwood concert set.
Lovely CD. It certainly sounds like Preston’s Boxwood Angus concert set.
That’s it in the video.
There’s some cuts on Soundcloud with Preston playing a Wooff B set too; he’s waiting on a C or C# Angus set as well. His band has a CD: Na Rósaí - Portland Based Traditional Irish Music
Sure it’s a mix of good recording and great pipemaking, but what a pleasant sound for a concert set, particularly the drones but chanter as well.
