Also known as “Montezuma’s Revenge”. ![]()
In that top photo, that thing looks like it’s about to command me, in an robotic voice, “take me to your leader!”
But seriously, rather than hauling a chair around, one could put a pad on one end of a sturdy case (like an Anvil case) and never be without a place to sit.
That is BY FAR…the smallest piper I’ve ever seen. Although, I believe Seamus Ennis thought Paddy Moloney was…?
It could well be the piper that taught Ennis the tune the Gold Ring.
Das ist eine kleine Dudelsackpfeifer. ![]()

I was waiting for someone else to catch that. A sharp eye, there, and good job, Mr. Thumb!
(← not supposed to be a visual pun, but what the hell.)
Giving away the bank. Nice.

This one looks interesting…http://www.sharmusic.com/Shop-Shar/Accessories/Studio/Chairs/Musician-s-Adjustable-Studio-Chair.axd
The back might be too laid back though?
I’ve played a lot of accordion in the semi-standing position, but those might be too high for you. Have a look at these lower ones:

Not so portable, but notice the free built-in GOOSE DRONE. Very rare.

This is what you want:

Available from Targét du…wherever. Hopefully you can get it from somebody else.

Held horizontally folded, or unfolded with the seat against the chest, it would seem quite useful too, for getting in front of the senior citizens at busy bus stops.

Consider this can of worms - OPEN!
Was at my local Dick’s shop over the weekend
and saw a foldable stool that is just the right height (for me - over 6’). I just went looking ofr it online but I can’t find it on Dick’s website. This one looks exactly the same:

Gudluck!
Pats.
I was recording with a pedal steel guitar player and he had a case that doubled up as a padded chair with a lidded compartment to the right of the padded seat part of the case for tuners, strings etc, I wish I’d asked where you get them.
