The perfect piping stool

Hi everyone -

I just found the perfect piping stool for me and wanted to share my good fortune just in case it’ll help you, too. I’m about 5 feet 6 inches, and have been looking for a comfortable portable stool for a long time at the stores like Target, Walmart… and some furniture stores. Always having no luck… until now! This one is an 18" backless stool. Found it on Amazon the other day, and the delivery guy just brought it to my door today:

Isn’t the correct term “fewmets”?

Counter-intuitively, perhaps, it isn’t “piobroch”. I understand that’s only to confound the tourists.

I think “fewmets” is specifically animal droppings (see T.H. White, who loved obscure words–it’s not in the OED).
Just don’t call your new acquisition a “stool of ease” Kath.
Don’t you miss a bit of lumbar support though?

My lumbering piping needs lots of support. I like Denny’s option; maybe there’s an upgrade available.

I had one of these for some years. Easy to carry around on your back. Eventually it broke when I sat on it (no, I’m NOT FAT!!!).
23,- USD seems a bit overpriced to me. Here, you can get them for around 10 Euros.

I use this (blue seat actually) for all of Trad gigs where I was unsure about the kind of seats and this really does the trick for me
