Check out this band at http://www.poisoneddwarf.com, watch their vid and hear sound clips. They’re some good friends of mine from Williamsburg, Virginia. They’ve been at it 4 or 5 years and are starting to get some traction I think. Band leader is Bodhran player, Lance Pedigo. Lance is also Drum Major/Director of the Colonial Williamsburg Fifes and Drums, in Virginia, which was the sole representative of the U.S. at the 2008 Basel Tattoo in Switzerland and the only F&D in the 2008 Macy’s T-G Parade (if interested, clips at http://www.hamptonroadsmusic.tv/UAN/showpd.html and http://www.history.org/history/fife&drum/about.cfm

The correct expression as I have heard it is “poison dwarf” (not poisoned). It refers to belligerent Glaswegians of stunted growth looking for an excuse to give you, or anyone else they meet, a punch on the nose, or a Glasgae kiss. In other words, they are poison to you, and anyone else they meet.
I have encountered a few of them.
