Playing gig 2morrow

I shall be piping with ‘The DooLallys’ at bar 51, Windsor from 9pm the Wednesday 19th July. Do come on down if you want.

Hey Seán,

I was in Oxford last week and dying for a tune. I had no idea there were any around. We were staying in a place called Whitney, and I saw a lone whistle player. It wasnt you by any chance?

Hi Maire,

No it wasn’t me, but if you’re ever back this way give me a pm or email. The Half Moon is the best bet for a session, with Sundays going till 4am!

Happy days, I will be over agin before the summer ends, if you dont mind I will take you up on the offer. Its always great to play with new musicians.

There should be someone else. At Shannon airport I met an American girl coming back to Oxford from Miltown Malbay. She played a bit the bodhran and took a Dixon flute as a present for a friend.

Her main instrument’s the trumpet (jazz, classical, everything…) though :stuck_out_tongue:

Be great to see you Maire, although my wife and I are touring the waterways until September, be shall be setting off to Womad in Reading, on the Thames 2morrow, and then going down the Kennet and Avon Canal to Bristol, from where we enter the Severn estuary to Sharpness, and then round the canal system to Oxford.

We’ll be doing a blog of our musical tour, I’ll put the site url up soon.

Sean

Busker Seán, goodluck in your travels, Oxford is a beautiful part of England, I loved it, but very expensive to holiday in the Cotswolds. Bourton on the water was my favourite part. Gorgeous!
