I’m looking for favorite peanut butter cookie recipes, as a spin-off from the other thread.
What are your favorite peanut butter cookie recipes? Something I thought about doing is putting chopped nuts into or onto the cookies. Do you think that would work?
Mix a cup of peanut butter a cup of sugar and an egg together. Daub it in cookie-size portions on a cookie sheet and smash it a bit with a fork. Bake it. That’s right… no flour.
My favorite peanut butter cookie recipe is the one in the Joy of Cooking cookbook. It has a higher ratio of peanut butter to other ingredients than most recipes – besides the flourless recipe Walden gave. I’m going to have to try that.
Cool! My husband and son have celiac disease, which means they can’t eat wheat or gluten in any form. I’ll bet they would like those. Thanks!
Cran, I love peanutbutter sandwiches with walnuts– I think that would be a good combination.
This is not a peanut butter cookie recipe, but now that you have the peanut butter at hand, and while waiting for the cookies to bake, try this one.
In addition to peanut butter, get a whole stalk of celery. Now, dip the celery into the peanut butter and fill the groove of the celery with peanut butter. Then, insert the combination into your mouth, and crunch them. Mmmm!
