can’t use my paypal account at the moment because I’m over my monthly limit. I understand the ‘monthly limit’ is the one-month time frame after one has opened a paypal-account. I’m trying to find out since when I’ve got a paypal account, so I’ll know when I’ll be able to send money again through paypal. Does anyone know which button I have to click to find this out?

Is there a country-specific paypal site for you or are you using the .com one? (I ask because I know there’s a different UK one.)
Do you mean spending limit or receiving limit? I know that without a business account, you can only receive a certain amount every month. To receie more, you have to be a business account, and they take a chunk of the proceeds.
A spending limit is a one-time limit. You can only send so much before you become “verified”. After you become verified, as far as I know, there is no sending limit. I do not know what the procedure entails to become verified outside the US..in the US, back when I did it (like 6 years ago), they sent like two tiny random amounts (less than 20 cents) to your bank, and when you got it, you input the amounts into a form.

here, to become a verified member, you must add a second credit card to your account, after that I think there is no monthly limit, or if there is one, it’s high enough for me. Ava, it doesn’t matter if I’m using the .com or the .ch site, since my account is in CH all terms get adjusted to the swiss terms, no matter which international paypal site i’m using. I wrote paypal a mail this morning, but no answer yet…

I don’t give out my credit card number over the internet to ANYONE just because there are folks out there who make their living getting past security programs to get just such info.
Don’t know how it works where you are Amar, but whenever I’ve wanted something off eBay and the seller said he prefered paypal…I’ve just sent an email BEFORE bidding asking very politely if I could send a money order if I won. No one has turned me down yet…and it also serves to keep me from overspending my budget!
I have verified my accounts (US and UK) but then immediately removed my card information - it doesn’t change the “verified” status.
