I’m just curious if anyone else has experienced problems with Paypal not protecting or resolving transaction issues from eBay?
Not personally, but I’ve heard many horror stories. Try a google search on ‘paypal problem’
and suchlike…
I have also heard from friends that PayPal has given them problems with disclosing so-called “secure” information.
I choose not to use PayPal.
I had a thoroughly satisfactory resolution to an eBay problem through PayPal’s buyer protection program, for what it’s worth.

I would imagine most transactions are completely smooooth. I made three mistakes on my last transaction.
- bought software on ebay
- trusted the sellers’ description
- hoped Paypal would resolve the problem reasonably.
Paypal said my situation doesn’t fulfill the “significantly not as described” category. There are two software programs titled very similarly, but one contains 6 applications, the other only 1. The difference in value is about $600 between the programs. Maybe I’m just being unreasonable.
