Pat D'Arcy's CD

Congratulations, Pat! Keep us posted on the digital download. I buy nary but binary these days, so am looking forward to the cdbaby release. Again, congratulations and I’m sure it’s brilliant!

Got my Compact Laser Disc copy of the recording today. BRILLIANT.

Already wearing it out.

The audio recording of his sets is really fantastic. So very well captured and manages to keep up with caliber of the playing!

My copy arrived yesterday and I really like it. Any serious collection of uilleann pipe recordings should include this CD.
And the boy can sing too - who knew?

Fine job Patsy.
“I think I hear a pig, uneasy in its mind.” A line for the ages, that one.

This disc has been taking me to n from work since I got it. I can’t get over the awesome sound recording of those drones.

My CD is now available for download on iTunes!

Thanks everyone for your support!

To pick just two favourite moments:
Pat’s playing of Fraher’s (that tired old warhorse) is utterly gorgeous.
The regs on the first Copperplate: as the tune “goes” from G to A min, Patsy chooses rather to go from GB to GC on the regs. A perfect example of extending the drone principle instead of trying to “harmonize” everything (by which I mean make everything consonant).

I’ve added my CD to another online service, one I thought particularly interesting.
