Hey Blaine: Can you clarify what ‘Outgoing email has been disabled for non-staff users’ means exactly? Are we no longer able to email members directly from their contact info? Sure hope not.
There was a weird site hiccup this morning that resulted in a few oddities. I received PM notices in my personal e-mail (which includes the text of the PM itself), but when I tried to come to C&F and view it in my mailbox, at first I couldn’t access the site, and then when it finally came online I noticed something peculiar. The “Migration to Discourse Underway” thread was showing up as a new post, even though nothing had been added to it since November. Then when I went to my C&F personal messages, the PMs for which I had received notification were not there. And yet I had received copies of them in my personal e-mail. Very weird. I went ahead and responded to them regardless and my outgoing mail seems to have sent successfully. So no idea what all that is about…
On the mobile site, the Chiff and Fipple logo has been replaced by the Discourse logo. Looks ok on the desktop site. And that “outgoing email” message still pops up.
