As the hubby snoozes on the couch, these thoughts come to mind…
It’s not a full moon, so why so many bizarre posts about “&”, “amphibious whistles”, a city which is pants, vanilla coke, and the best way to perform a search, not to mention bashing the newbies?
I will have to go to Staples, failing Walmart, in search of “sticky tack” to rescue my accursed two-piece Clare (I had such high hopes for that whistle, too). Shopping and plumbing are my own personal version of hell, so this may take a while.
I think I’m the only one besides Bagfed who is checking out the board at 11 pm on a Friday night, everybody else is undoubtedly having a whale of a time! But aren’t kids great!
Maybe I’ll actually check out the local Renaissance Faire this year…I’ve been a little afraid to until now but after I read “O save us from Faux Pagans” I felt renewed courage…and of course, I know Aodhan attends these things, so …then again…

Well, no and yes…I am around, doing homework and chatting with a chiffer (equals a whale of a time, you see). There are also three folks in the chat room according to the counter. And here it’s 2 AM, but I was here at 11 too.

I’m here all night, at work, checking the board every now and then. And since we have board members all over the world, there’s usually somebody here. Except for Christmas Eve, when I was the only person on earth browsing C&F. That was weird.

I know how you feel. I work with a lot of younger people who aren’t married/parents. Seems like everyone goes dancing but me! I do cruise around here late at night, though, after DH flakes out on the couch (heheheheh). If I could only figure out a way to play my whistle so he wouldn’t hear it. You know, maybe hook it up to headphones…
You really should consider a Hoover Narrow Bore D if you really want to play in those circumstances. They really are quiet enough that they won’t wake up someone in the next room - or even in the same room if the TV is on. (I’ve proven this with my wife who generally falls asleep on the couch while watching TV).

I’m not the only one that performs at the Faire. msheldon from the boards also performs at several faires with “The Greyhounds of Fairhaven”, displaying a BUNCH of very nice looking, friendly greyhounds. (And he has some pretty nice garb as well!)
How about it, Chiffers? Anyone else perform at a ren type faire?
Being so new to the list,it took me a couple of days to figure out what a Hoover Narrow Bore D was. I assumed correctly that it wasn’t in any way related to my family. Several boors and bores in that bunch, but none of them narrow by any means.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll have to go surfing to find one.
