People in this community who know me know that my cats are like my children. I adore them, and I am beside myself right now with sadness, as Luna (the older one) disappeared yesterday around 3PM. She always comes when I call her, so something is not right. I have done all the things a person is to do when an animal disappears. And now I turn to you. Please, in whatever way you know how, help me will my cat back home.

Jessie,
I’m so sorry Luna is missing. I love animals so much and I always get so sad when I hear animals are missing. I’m sure you will find her - perhaps she’s just on a little adventure, cats will do that sometimes. She’ll come back. Again, I’m sorry. Best of British to you, (that means good luck)!
Peace be with you,
Sara
Jessie,
Cats (no matter how much they love their owners) often like to visit other people, especially if the “other people” feed them tastey food! We had a similar situation some months ago. We have 3 indoor cats and one, the one with a bit of an attitude, got out and disappeared. He is 10 years old and not used to being outside so we were very very worried. Four days later, he showed up on the doorstep - well fed, well groomed, happy and looking like he was thinking: “so what’s your problem?” Not to make light of a very worrying situation for you, just don’t give up hope that all is and will be well.
Sue
Shortly after we moved to our new house about 4 years ago, one of our cats disappeared. We thought maybe she had gotten disoriented in the new location, or was try to do an “Incredible Journey” back to the old house. She was gone for weeks, we plastered the town with signs. We began to lose hope. Then one day, after she was gone about 5 weeks (and it was exactly this time of year) she waltzed back in to the kitchen like nothing even happened. We then found out the day she came home, the farmer down the road had plowed under his cornfield. The little wench had been living fat, dumb, and happy a mile away, stuffing herself on field mice. Now she the same thing every year, but we gave up worrying.
Jeese, the moral of the story is, there is hope, Luna could be gone for a while and still come back fine.
Good luck,
jb

Thanks for the uplifting thoughts. I am so very sad, it’s hard to stay positive. I see her sister Sola miserably looking for her, unsure of what to do, not wanting to play. My GOD, I hope she comes back. I love that animal so much. The is a huge hole in my family.
Don’t lose hope. Our elder cat was chased away by a dog a few months ago. When he’d been gone for two days, we filed a missing cat report, went to the Humane Society to look at new arrivals (even mug shots of the deceased), and started looking at kittens. He finally showed up after SIX days. He’d lost a pound or two (he has a few to spare), but looked very well groomed. We suspect he’d sought refuge in a neighbor’s shed or garage, and was locked in until the next time they mowed the lawn or whatever.
We try to keep him inside, but he grew up on a farm, and he becomes nasty and eventually downright hostile if he’s cooped up.

i hope luna returns,
best,tansy
For two days, I didn’t let them out because there was construction going on (big trucks, noisy men and machinery) at the end of my block, but they begged and finally I let them out. I think something happened with the construction. Maybe they killed her and took her away or maybe one of them took her home or somewhere else. I can’t belive how sad I am…nothing has ever been this hard for me…so strange. I tried to play with Sola with a toy that I always use with both of them…we have a routine, and when it was Luna’s turn, Sola started looking around. My heart is broken and I can hardly see through the tears…I can hardly eat or sleep. I am shocked at how hard it’s hitting me. Thanks for all your support.
Don’t give up hope Jessie…cats are phenomenal creatures with 9 lives. Have you tried talking to the construction workers?
Do keep us posted and a prayer for Luna’s safe return. Gm
Oh, please Lord let your kitty come home. My Teddy is an indoor cat who spends some time outside on his leash. He has managed to sneak out a couple of times and has managed to cause huge heartbreak when he does. Being an indoor kitty I really don’t believe he has any real concept of cars and I worry, a lot. He stayed out till 5 in the morning once. I cracked open the garage door about 3 inches and left the door to the house a jar and he came home about 5. Just jumped up in bed like nothing ever happened.
I also worry when he goes on one of his little jaunts that someone will think he’s an abandoned kitty and want to keep him. If Luna isn’t home soon post some pictures so everyone will know this is a well loved and missed kitty.
Jessie,
Our next door neighbors cat was missing for about 10 days and then they got a call from neighbors on the next street that the cat was up in a tree! Sometimes cats can climb up but can’t get back down. I do hope you find your dear pet. I know how much we loved our old cat and now our little old blind dog Maggie.
My very best wishes, Tom
