OT: Edinburgh ... anything as a must for an uilleann piper?

Dear fellow pipers,

maybe a bit off topic but I will be going to Edinburgh next week and have one and a half days off from work (Friday + Saturday) before going back to Finland. Is there anything that I should see? A pub to find good music? A pipemaker to try another set?

So far I found that the university has a collection of historical instruments with also some uilleann pipes. Maybe that’s something to start with …

Any ideas and hints are welcome! Just send a PM or Email.

Best regards and many thanks in advance, Thies

Sandy Bell’s is the one I’ve heard most about.
There’s not really many uilleann pipers to be found in Edinburgh. One good player called Harry [Lawson]…VERY hard guy to track down…plus a few intermediate and beginner players …

…and no pipemakers.

The session scene in Edinburgh is very lively, all the same.
