OT: Dragon Award.

In 1996 I wrote a fictional thesis: The](http://pw2.netcom.com/~leemarsh/moddrag1.html%3EThe) Re-emergence of Dragons in Modern Times, and posted on my web site. I wrote it primarily as back story for some fantasy novel ideas I was working on.

Today I received an e-mail informing me that it got an award!

Again, let me say it is FICTIONAL. I have to say that loudly because about once a month I get an e-mail from someone who thinks its real. I just wanted something that sounded logical to help the audience with the ‘willing suspension of disbelief’ necessary to tell the stories I was working on.

Hope folks don’t mind the OT, but with all the folks who like elven lore I thought some folks might enjoy a little fun.

P.S. I haven’t editted the website for 7 years so please adjust ages, etc. For example the 13 year-old is now 20. I do plan on updating the information in the next couple of months.

What fun! And quite a worthwhile literary technique as well (look at all the “historical” info Tolkien presents as prologues and afterwords to his novels).

I have to run cook dinner now, but I’ll read it later…sounds like something I would enjoy

Hey Lee,

Your thesis is way cool! And fun to read.

thanks for posting,

Cara

Holy Smokes Lee; That was a great thesis. And what a great website. Man I meet the coolest people here. Oh and thanks for the supprise reread of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. During this time of Patriot Acts and presadential decrees and other questionable legislation it was a refreshing reminder of what our responsabilities realy are. How can such a simple and straight forward document be so misinterpreted and manipulated in front of us all???
Great job Lee.
