OT: The Duel

I think I better go get something constructive done

Adamm, that’s great. You’ve put up some really nice fun things. Thanks!

BTW, Welcome to C&F!

Thanks, Paul! Glad to be here!. I figure since I have nothing insightful to say about whistles or whistling, at least I can have some fun. And fun seems to be something this board has an incessant appetite for! :sunglasses: Maybe one day I’ll have practiced enough to have an opinion. Until then, I’m happy to lurk around and soak up the wisdom, and maybe throw in a few goofs now and then.

 Adam

You don’t need opinions when you can offer gems like this.

Love it! Now how about Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader duelling with low D whistles ( or even funnier, Lone Star and Dark Helmet).. May the Farce be with you!

I just knew Harry was a Gen man.

ā€œWhy don’t we take a five minute break?ā€

These are great!!!

Nice stuff…I especially like the Harry Potter one.

   :stuck_out_tongue:

From a rabid Harry Potter fan: thank you, Adamm!!! I really enjoyed that one. Very, very nice job! I appreciate your imagination…I think your talents will be a real asset to the Board! Welcome!!

Hahaha! Many extra points for using Spaceballs instead of the real Dick Chenney, errr i mean Darth Vader. But how can he play whistle with that helmet on?

The Harry Potter parody is first rate. My vote for the C&F homepage!

Omigod! That is great!!!

I have often fantasized about my whistles being magic wands.

 Thanks everyone for the nice compliments. I’m happy I can provide a few giggles now and again!
 Adam

How funny..    Loved the Harry Potter one!!

xcellent! what weird mind thought that up?

That is great. Anyone read the historical notes on the whistle by Mr. L.E. McCullough? According to that, the whistle has magical powers in some parts of the irish mythology. Why didn’t the woman who wrote the book (forgott her name) and the movie makers think of that. If there really was a whistle duell in the movies I would acctually go and see them    . Yes more of a LOTR:s fan here.

I hadn’t seen your post yet when Martin Milner sent me that link this morning. He seems to think it’s a good example of American life. I think we need to start up a Foreign Whistler Exchange program very soon!
