OT&apparently provocative: T-shirt I saw

I can think of nothing more ridiculous than reading political and economic theories being espoused on a forum that’s designed to be about music.

“Clueless” is a word that comes to mind as I read some of the posts in this thread.

Politics and religion shouldn’t be discussed on C&F. Or if they are, we should start yet another new board. We could call it the “I can smirk at all of you because I make snidely superior remarks about your beliefs” board. Whaddya think?

This should make Dale, and blackhawk, and brianc very, very happy…

…don’t worry be happy!

P.S. Yes, it’s a real tune, thanks to Chopin (sorry for the half holing)

Try telling that to my mother, 76 next week, who must work full time because her retirement fund tanked due to Enron, WorldCom, trickle-down economics and the like.

I didn’t say you wanted it to be worse, just that it could be.

Gee, I just thought it was a funny t-shirt. I LIKE funny stuff.

Yeah. It seems like things have been pretty tense around here the past couple of months. I don’t know why everyones’ nerves are on edge.

Here is an easy-to-use form for posting political views on the internet. Enjoy!!!

I think {insert name of politician} has no idea what the people need. He has completely spurned the {insert name of charity organization} every year without fail and has been known to make off-color comments about the {insert name of opposing political group}. I guess it’s a real shame that he didn’t choke on that {insert snack food} and fall off of that {insert balcony}!!!

This has been a Quality of Internet Life message from {insert smartass whistler here}.

I think {insert name of whistle manufacturer} has no idea what the people need. I bought that one for my oldest daughter about ten years ago when she was a teenager - she loved it!

I like “funny” Teeshirts too, Dale. My favorite…

Saw this T-shirt recently:

(I have to get me one of those to wear at work!)

Now THAT is funny.

My wife is from Italy and we are both weary of political correctness so when we found t-shirts at one of the Cleveland Irish festivals we had to buy one for each of our sons. I think they didn’t agree with our sense of political incorrectness because I haven’t seen the shirts again.

They said:

Warning: Irish Temper, Italian Attitude

Mike

Does the Dragon T-Shirt come with a graphic? I need one!

Nothing graphic, just the Italian and Irish flag colors. They could say,“Is it yer face I’ll be after smashing, you goombah?”
Mike

Sorry for the non-sequitur above. I can blame it on my age but it’s really just a short attention span.

My daughter has a couple of shirts she got at her Irish dance competitions:

I worked my butt off so I can kick yours!

or…

I’m an Irish Dancer, these are curlers..any more questions?

I would be cautious about news stories
about abortion issues–a great deal
of slanted reporting.

Yes, political
discussions may have a place here in some
great crisis, but generally they
are divisive. It’s too bad, but
it’s true.
