O'Riordan Whistles HUGE set (9 keys) for sale

I have a set of O’Riordan traveller whistles (black anodized aluminum bodies, delrin mouthpieces and nickel-plated trim) that consists of (from low to high): Low D, Low E/F, Low G, A/Bb, C, and D/Eb (that’s NINE different keys on six mouthpieces), all in nice handmade roll-up bags. They are in new condition. I have been offered $6,000 for the set. I told the person I would pose it to the forum, because a lot of people want these and would be mad at me if I didn’t at least give the opportunity to say no. So, if you want to offer me more than $6000, please contact me.

I will keep a running tally of the highest offer. At some point (maybe in a week or so), I will sell the set. I will give individuals who contact me the right to decline to make a higher offer before I commit to selling to someone. So I guess it’s a private auction with a rather high starting bid.

Holy $#1&!!! I knew I went wrong investing in Microsoft when I could have bought O’Riordans.

Chris

Yeah, better sell me your Olwell and that Grinter now, and buy the O’Riordans from Jessie pronto.

Loren

P.S. Hey man, you gonna be home tonight, I need to rap with you about the work I did on your axe.

I would have to take out a second mortgage to buy that set. I think Jessie is after a downpayment for her young one’s college tuition.

A beautiful set, Jessie.

I have an O’Riordan concert set C/D in cocobolo that I dearly love playing, but the coming scarcity makes me hesitate to play them in public anymore.

Good Luck

Unless Joey goes to a state school, $6000 will pay for about a week and a half of college.

Actually, I am looking to pay off our mortgage and build a savings account to continue paying for (Dan’s and my) life insurance after Dan retires.

At this point, I am prepared to offer $4,360,000. I won’t pay a dime more.

Dale

I’m sorry. I now have to withdraw my offer.

Wow…I wonder how much my complete set of Oak’s would sell for. Thasts right both in the key of D and C. The have been appraised for $19.50.

Jesse, Take the $6,000 and run…WOW!
