This Liam Walsh 78 lists The Walls of Limerick and the Fairy Reel. The Fairy Reel I remember is the reels The One-Horned Cow and the Limestone Rock. One-Horned Cow was recorded by Seattle group the Suffering Gaels on a tape of the same name. I forget which tunes he plays for the Walls of Limerick, maybe hornpipes? Dunphy’s and Alexander’s? These are ostensibly for Ceili dancing but are simply the usual medleys of jigs, hornpipes, reels. Fantastic playing on these, too. Walsh was a great piper.
What’s on the William Andrews 78, Jim? Andrews played the warpipes as well as the uilleanns.
Not sure, I’ll have it listed before the end of the auction.
