Hi All. I have for sale a very nice old Boxwood Flute. Simple System with one Key, pitched in D. There are no cracks and the flute is in very good condition. The ivory end cap at some time has been replaced with a very nicely turned boxwood one. All the parts are stamped WAINWRIGHT LONDON.

I bought the flute more than 25 years ago from an antique dealer, and would rather like it to go to a good home, as it never gets played. I have no idea as to the value of the instrument, but would consider any genuine, sensible offers. curlew

Nice, a Wainwright flute. There are not many of them out there. I’ve got a much later one.

It might be good to know where you are, as the ivory on the flute could make it difficult to ship to some countries.

The flute has a nice mellow tone Jim. Thanks Gabriel for mentioning the possible ivory issue. Thanks Steve for the link to Terry’s site (he has actually been in touch). I am in Scotland if any one is interested. Still open to offers folks.
